Just a Sigh
Aka "Le temps de l'aventure". Running through the city in her flowered skirt, with debit card troubles and interrupted artistic desires, Alix Aubane (Emmanuelle Devos) is a sour, unpleasant, 40-something version of Frances Ha, the sarcastic answer to a question no one ever asked. In the midst of a life that is apparently little more than a series of mild irritations, Alix finds herself forced into a lengthy trip for an audition. Shes tired, harried, with little cash and no phone charger, but a chance encounter with a handsome stranger on the train (Gabriel Byrne) leads her to seek him out later for a quick fling in his hotel room. Their intense attraction is complicated by geography, careers, death, his wife, her boyfriend and one rather unremarkable secret.
