"The Manxman" (1929) Filmed on the "Isle of Man", Hitchcock's last silent is an ambitious film in which he explores the story of Pete (Carl Brisson), a fisherman, and his best friend, Philip. Friends since childhood, they find themselves caught in a lovers' triangle both in love with the beautiful Kate (Anny Ondra). Based on the novel by Hall Caine.
