Pinocchio
A mini-series adaptation of Carlo Collodi's beloved children's story about a little wooden toy who became a real boy. Pinocchio is lovingly crafted by the old toymaker Gepetto (Bob Hoskins), who longs for a son of his own. It seems his prayers are answered when Pinocchio is magically turned into a flesh and blood boy, but soon the curious youngster leaves the workshop and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure. Set in 19th century Italy, the lead role is played by Robbie Kay, with support from Joss Ackland, Violante Placido, Thomas Sangster and Alessandro Gassman.
