Tropic Thunder

Ben Stiller directs and stars in this riotous Hollywood satire with Steve Coogan as a desperate director trying to make his Vietnam opus. Among the pampered egos he has dropped into the jungle are Ben Stiller - the action hero beginning to make bad choices; Jack Black - the comedian going through heroin withdrawal; and Robert Downey Jr - hamming brilliantly as the ultimate method man who has undergone a procedure to turn himself black for the role. Hysterically spot-on lampoon with cameos from a host of Tinseltown A-listers including Matt McConaughey as Stiller's agent, and an almost unrecognisable Tom Cruise as a potty-mouth producer.
