Nim's Island
Living on a South Pacific island with her scientist dad (Gerard Butler), young Nim (Abigail Breslin) turns to books by Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster) for escape while he conducts his research. When her father goes missing, Nim implores Rover - whom she thinks is writing real-life adventure tales - to come to her aid, leading the novelist to confront fears her fictional heroine faces with ease.
