New Adventures of Tarzan: Volume 1
This oddity was produced by Edgar Rice Burroughs own company and was the first Tarzan film shot on location (in Guatemala). Their goal: the "Green Goddess," a gem-encrusted idol that contains a secret formula for a powerful explosive. Playing Tarzan is one Herman Brix, an Olympic decathalon champ, who was paid $75 per week (!) to suffer in the jungle heat and do all his own stunts as well. Six cliff-hanging episodes on Volume 1. Volume 2 follows.
