The Actors
Down-on-his-luck actor O'Malley (Michael Caine) hangs out in the roughest pub in town to research his role as Richard III and forget his ailing career. There he befriends Barreller (Michael Gambon), a harmless small-time crook indebted to some very dangerous people. Convinced he can scam both Barreller and his underworld creditors using his superior thespian skills, O'Malley gets himself and actor-pal Tom (Dylan Moran) embroiled in a hairbrained scheme taking on various disguises and characters. Soon, however, the actors-come-criminals find their intricate web of deceit stretched to the limit in this light-hearted comic caper. With Lena Headey, Miranda Richardson.
