Kotch

Jack Lemmon makes his directorial debut in this dramatic and heartwarming comedy that focuses on the touching relationship between an elderly widower and an unmarried, pregnant teenager. "Kotch" (Walter Matthau) is a feisty senior citizen who has managed to maintain his vibrance and zest for living. His son has grown weary of having the old man under foot an tries to commit his father to a retirement home. Refusing to be cast aside by his family, Kotch decides to leave, facing his future not with despair, but with unfailing optimism. On his way to the bus stop, Kotch sees Erica, a pregnant teen in need of help. For the first time in a long time he feels needed... a feeling that could give his life a totally new meaning.
