The Sweeney: Diamond Geezers
Three 'diamond' episodes of the popular 70s Brit cop show 'The Sweeney'. Starring John Thaw as Det. Insp. Regan and Dennis Waterman as Det. Sgt. Carter. 'Poppy' - He's back - 3 years after escaping the country, Vic Labbett has come back to claim his money. After a tip-off, Regan and Carter are onto him - Vic's done a deal with the bank to exchange the cash for diamonds. He'll stop at nothing to get what he wants. 'I Want The Man' - There's been a diamond robbery and now Regan has heard plans of a blag - they may be connected. They arrest Frankie Little, one of the robbers, and he agrees to help Regan. Is he telling them everything though? 'One Of Your Own' - A London jewellery dealer has been robbed by a man posing as a policeman. The suspect is in prison pending his appeal. Haskins orders Carter to share a cell with him for the night to see if he can get any more information from him. Carter ends up getting more involved than he had bargained for.
